VPN Server Setup

1. Goto Control Panel

2. Open the Administrative Tools

3. Then open Routing and Remote Access

4. In routing and remote access right click the Server Status and select Add Server

5. In the add server select This Computer

6. Then right click the server and select Configure and Enable Routing and Remote Access

7. Choose the first option ie Remote access (dial-up or VPN)

8. In the remote access choose VPN

9. In the VPN connection select the interface that is used for VPN Server (XX.XX.XX.XX)

10. In IP address assignment choose Automatic so that the DHCP server will allocate the IP address

11. Then choose No, use Routing and Remote Access to authenticate connection requests

12. Then finish.

13. Router configurations

A static IP address has to be mapped in the router
Port 1723 has to be allowed for both In and Out in the router
Protocol 47 has to be allowed both In and Out in the router
